How to Diagnose Ocular Abnormalities with Ultrasound

Ocular ultrasound is a relatively easy, noninvasive diagnostic modality to evaluate for ocular abnormalities and can be used as a complement to traditional ophthalmoscopic examination. Ocular ultrasound should be performed in horses with ocular trauma, disparity in ocular size or with any condition that impedes visualization of posterior ocular structures.
